Camelot Summer Musicals

Our Camelot Summer Musicals are a unique experience for actors grades 7-12, with actors as young as 10 welcome to join with permission from the director.

These musicals are a condensed two-week version of our annual Camelot fall musical. Auditions on Day 1, casting released and rehearsals begin on Day 2 – after one week of rehearsals, the show is fully taught, and the show opens on Friday of Week 2! This experience is a CKP favorite & the casts of our summer musicals always end the process with a unique bond.

Excalibur Programs

We provide a wide range of Excalibur summer programs (grades 7-12). In the past these have ranged from a 2/3 week summer play, Shakespeare classes, a full-scale theatre festival & competition, dance classes, musical theatre workshops, audition workshops, you name it – we’ve probably tried it. Stay tuned to find out what Excalibur programs we will be offering this year!

Our Excalibur students are some of the best kids we know. The community within our Excalibur players & alumni is impressive. They support each other for years post-graduation, and some of our Excalibur alumni even return as CKP staff! In rehearsal, we prioritize a fun and educational environment – to teach our students how to behave in a professional theatre setting someday. Each program we offer is designed intentionally so our students gain a great theatre education in a low-stress environment. After being in an Excalibur Players productions, students can be confident that they are prepared to audition and perform in any theater. As always, team work is heavily emphasized, and it seems that casts of the Excalibur Players tend to grow to be a tight unit and make close friends even more than our other casts.
