Excalibur Players Director, Lead Choreographer & Creative Team

Biography

Maureen is an accomplished singer, dancer, actress and songwriter and is thrilled to be the director Excalibur Players and Choreographer for Creative Kids Playhouse! After earning her BA in Musical Theatre
from The University of Northern Colorado, she spent 4 years as the lead singer for Holland America Cruise Line, then 12 years performing and teaching in New York.

Maureen continues to perform throughout Southern California and has an album and many singles released on I-Tunes. You can learn more about her original music at http://www.maureenrussellmusic.com.
Maureen also offers private vocal coaching for all levels in Orange County.

CKP Helped Me Find My Voice

CKP has helped me find my voice. I am more confident speaking in public, and I now look people in the eye when I talk to them.  The staff  encourages me to be bold and try new things, and not be afraid to make mistakes when I develop a character. My first play I whispered my lines where no one could hear me, and I wanted to hide in the background. Now you can definitely see and hear me! It has helped me with presence and how I talk to people. I am so grateful for CKP. Without them life would be harder.
