Biography

Since joining CKP in 2012, Rachael is now immersed in every aspect of the company. If you’re not in her cast, you will always hear from her or see her at some point! Rachael is has been working as a theatre educator for the last 12 years, and is so honored to continue her journey with the most incredible actors, families, and team from CKP. Rachael can be found directing, organizing costumes, building sets and props, preparing for CATE, and managing all off-stage needs for CKP.

Rachael is an honored recipient by Orange County Mental Health for her use of the Theatre Arts as a playwright and actor for awareness campaigns, as well as serving as a research assistant for Arizona State University. Although she has since retired from being on stage herself, she now has the privilege of watching her own children on the CKP stage.

What our community is saying about us…

A transformation had occurred

In fifth grade my outgoing, sweet son was floundering. He was being bullied at school, and struggling with his confidence in and out of the classroom. That fall he was in his first musical, and was in another in the spring. By the time sixth grade began I realized what a transformation had occurred. He began to walk taller, stand up for himself and be content being himself. His grades came up, possibly because he spoke up to his teachers when he needed help. The bullying ended. He has a nice group of friends, many of whom he met through Creative Kids Playhouse. He is now in eighth grade, succeeding in school and beginning to move toward other interests. The impact theater has had on his life is tremendous. I’m so happy for him, I know that he is equipped to be who he wants to be in life.
