Parent Information

Participating in musical theater is a gift you have given your child that will pay dividends for life.  Not only will they have wonderful memories to last a lifetime from this musical, but they will have improved skills in singing, dancing, communicating, memorization, and teamwork.  Be it pitching their start-up idea to investors, leading a business meeting, toasting at a friend’s wedding, standing up for their own children at a PTA meeting, or continuing to participate in theater, your child will be able to present themselves more confidently.

In addition, participation helps with schoolwork. A UCLA study of 25,000 students shows that Theatre Arts improves all academic performance. Standardized test scores increase 65 points on the verbal component, and even 35 points on math and science.

We at Creative Kids Playhouse Children’s Theatre of Orange County commend you on this excellent parenting decision!

Come From Away is the amazing musical about the people who were stranded in Newfoundland on 9/11. Inspired entirely by true stories, this article tells a little of the journey and how they created this musical.www.smooth.com.au/stage/true-stories-behind-hit-musical-come-away … See MoreSee Less

Can’t wait to see this on Thursday!

I read about this just recently! Sounds interesting !

Wish I was part of this group that is seeing this musical this musical in OC. This is the news segment I’ve shown to my students when we are exploring the US/Canada friendship & how they came to our aid on that horrible day.

Here’s another amazing manifestation of our wonderful neighbors to the north: Canadians singing the Star Spangled banner when there was a technical glitch with the sound system.

What our people are saying about us

My son is hooked.  He is hooked on the fun, the confidence building, the challenge, the different roles he takes on and mostly the true friendships that have developed because of Creative Kids.   He loves it all.  It becomes a family for these kids, a second family if you will.  He was hesitant in the beginning, and once he performed  for the first time, he hasn’t looked back.  He has probably done 12 performances and that doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.  It is part of who he is now.  He is a well rounded great kid.  (if I do say so myself)  And who he is has a lot to do with Creative Kids Playhouse.
